GT5 lupo Gti cup car race night.18/09/12. 20.00 start time.
so, after a little research & practice, here are the details for this 'one night' event
we will have 6 races....
Rome - 12 laps
R246 - 10 laps
Monaco - 10 laps
London - 14 laps (no pits)
Madrid - 10 laps
Special Stage R5 - 10 laps
each race should last approx 15-18mins, round up to approx 30 including a wee bit of practice so, 30mins per track, 6 tracks, bout 3 hours worth of racing. Hoping for an 8pm start, should finish at 11(ish), although if everyone is free & doesnt have work the next day, i do have a few more tracks in mind that can be added if need be to take us later into the night
all tyres will be allowed, however, pit strategy IS a factor in this event, so choose carefully on the night
May i also suggest you have a little pracitce in your cars, i have about 100 miles on the clock & rebuilt the engine, so mine now stands about 213 bhp & 445pp
Now, What car you need, well it's the Volkwagon Lupo GTI cup car, it can be won on either A or B specs 'European hot hatch' event, not sure which, but most of you should already have done it & received it, unfortunately the colours & numbers are not changeable, so if we can please post what the ones we are given in here when putting you name down for entry, it would be much appreciated, also, the car is giftable for any of you that may not have it, but we will end up with the possibility of two cars the same
anyway, get your names down lads, this should be a good night
P.S. all the usual tounrey points/prizes standing apply
final places of each race will be scored as follows, F1 style 25 points for 1st 18 points for 2nd 15 points for 3rd 12 points for 4th 10 points for 5th 08 points for 6th 06 points for 7th 04 points for 8th 02 points for 9th & 01 point for 10th
Once you get the mileage up & rebuild you can't change the oil
Indeed, that's why macks always advocates that the first thing you do when getting a car is to take it to the Auto Shop and do an oil change; on used cars there's always a gain. Of course once you've run it in and re-built the engine an oil change is part of the re-build and you can't therefore also do an oil change then, but a few thousand miles down the road it will let you change the oil again.
True enough there is always a gain on used car with an oil change, but generally on used cars I do a re-build, on new/won/online collectors garage/reward cars an oil change is the way to go. But general once the car has been run in and you do an oil change it will reach it's maximum bhp and pp limit, rebuilds are only really worth it after a few thousand miles.
Will really need to see if my lupo is still stock for this or if I'll have to win it on another profile and gift it lol
