Forza 4, 1958 RAC Tourist Trophy One Race Special At 9:15 PM
Wednesday the 19th Of September

Silverstone National
40Laps
Ladies and Gentleman, This is a one off race which will happen on the above date.
I would like the race to be as historically accurate as possible.
The race will be 40 laps long (Roughly 45 mins) with 1 pitstop (Between laps 10 and 30) Around Silverstone national circuit.
We chose this circuit as we think this would be the best for racing and also has a similar mix of corners as Goodwood did.
The cars we will be using are the :
Aston Martin DBR1
Jaguar D - Type
Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa
Damage will be 'ON' Limited
Also there is a rolling start (This is due to the Jaguar have a very poor getaway, Plus as in sportscars, Rolling starts are the Norm.
There will be a quick 5 lap Qualifying Session to determine the order of the grid.
Any Assists can be used.
Rules :
Pitstops are between laps 10 and 25, Since damage is on if you get serious engine damage (This means your engine is smoking)
before lap 10, You will NOT have to make a mandatory pitstop, The reason is we do not want people dropping too far back.
As for body damage which cannot be repaired, Do not worry, We have tested the cars with red damage and hardly any performance was lost (4 MPH at max on straights and no real difference to the handling) Anyone seen pitting outside of the pit window and then claiming they had a smoking engine that they didn't, They will be given a time penalty after the race.
Also on the exit of the pits please use the lane on the RIGHT (Old pitlane exit)
Cars :
What is different from this race to others is that car choice is free, But there is a limited amount of each car available, Let me explain....
There was 3 David Brown LTD Aston Martins entered for the race, So thats all there is in our race, Plus a couple of private enteries which entered Le Mans.
So once these 5 cars have been Chosen, No one else can use a Aston Martin, So they will have to choose a Ferrari or a Jaguar.
Once you have chosen you car, E.G #7 David Brown LTD, Aston Martin DBR 1, If you own one of these cars or are considering purchasing one, Could you please visit my storefront (XBL Gamertag : Rikki Coxon) through Forza 4 and download the free #7 Livery for that car. (Or #1 Ferrari if that your car etc.) The reason i ask you to do this is as i said before we want this race to be as historically accurate as possible so if you do want to have your own livery please download one of mine. (I have done a livery for every car that is available)
If you do NOT want to purchase the car please just use the default livery.

(The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is a slightly slower car due to more difficult handling, Top speed is fine on this short track)

Also i dont think we will get a full room but this race is limited to 1 Lobby (Sorry) Because of the way the car selection is done it would be hard to split into two lobbies.
If there is a full room and all cars are chosen. Put your name down still and if someone doesn't turn up we will give you their car.

Like the sound of that too. What these cars lack in acceleration and top end, they make up for with their handling quirks; 4WD in those days, pah, no such thing, race cars put all their power through the back wheels, 4/5/600 hp through skinny little tyres, now that's a challenge (and I'm terrible with RWD muscle cars) but up for the challenge. Ok that's fine. I'm away till Wednesday so will sort something out when I get back if that ok. If we do go ahead with this idea everyone has too stick with same car. That ok.
