Yeah is looking like I will do the same. Going to take the wife to go and what Les Miserables weekend after next as I am a fan of the musical and she has never seen the musical so going to sit back and watch here turn into a sobbing mess:71:

As that will bring in the tears.

      • Watched Deadfall with Eric Bana on the plane back from Aus. He plays a serious bad ass. Very good too, considering you have to watch it on those crappy little screens with people banging into you all the time.

            • Django Unchained. Tarantino's best since Pulp Fiction. Plus one scene involving the KKK which is one of the funniest scenes I have seen in years.

Can understand also Christopher Whaltz oscar nom, he simply steals the film. Plus Samuel L Jackson on total Jackson form and Di caprio giving a brilliant perforamce which has been his best work in years.

                • Lincoln if you like talkie films (in other words film just bascially talking and very little else) then this is a cracker. Daniel Day Lewis with a shoe in for his third male actor role Oscar and make Oscar hsitory being the only actor to have won three oscar for Male actor.
Safe bet will be Tommy Lee Jones for best supporting as he almost steals the whole film right under Day Lewis (if he get's it it will be his 2nd oscar as best supporting after The Fugitive).

Wow. If it's better than Inglorious bas***ds, then I can't wait. I loved that film.

                          • Just watched Rambo First blood, the first one and have to say was impressed!
Started of kinda meh, and for most of the film wwas just pop corn stuff, but, and there's a very big but, i wasn't expecting what happened in the final scene with the army chap in the police station at the end. Kinda a wow moment, and i can't believe i am about to type this, well acted scene from Stalone!

Then i watched some of the extras filmed at the time of just before the release of the 4th Rambo film. Stalone is actually a very estute, thoughtful, elequant guy the complete opposite of what you see on screen. Again was impressed with hsi thoughts on life / love and war.

I'm impressed not only with the film but the man himself

he just usually chooses to act like a punch drunk idiot or a ex vet halfwit. lol

CopLand he was brilliant in, by far his best piece of acting just a shame that Ray Liotta totally steals the whole film.
