I watched a fair few recently but the pick of the bunch was easily the Joker, Joaquin Phoenix possibly plays his best movie role ever for me, the movie is not about special effects for once, its a story with pure acting at the heart of a movie and that made this film feel really special to me.

I didnt get along with the MI at all. I liked the others too so I was a bit disappointed.

Saw Incredibles 2 last week. Enjoyed it, though not as much as first.

I went and watched Bohemian Rhapsody the other night at the cinema and OMG this was a million times better than I expected it to be and I am not ashamed to say I was choked. Great film.

just watched 'The Shallows' on netflix, thought it was going to be some sort of gore-porn crap, but, it turned out to be actually very good

Watched Malevolent today, the new film thats just appeared on netflix, and must say its utter crap! From the laughable overacting to the make up and effects it feels like a cheap tv movie. The plot feels like someones looked at the most recent popular horror films and instead of picking just one to copy they've gone and tried to jam them all in!

I watched Veronica on netflix lastnight, was hoping for something special as it was by the bloke who made the Rec films which i loved but turned out to be a run of the mill possession type film, a few standout moments but nothing to write home about, worth a watch if you like that kind of thing.

I watched this too recently, I did enjoy it, but not knowing poker, some of the terms were a bit lost on me. And like you said, it is a pretty long film.

Did start to read the book to Mollys Game which gave a bit more detail and named some of the famous people. Must try and finish it on holiday.

loved this film. Miss Sloane is also great (again on prime) with the same lead actress Jessica chastain I think.

    Avengers infinity war.Meh.
Not a big superhero fan tbh but this seems overlong and had way too many FX. Also, the universe could have been saved many times over if the heroes didnt keep announcing their arrival before acting. Scores an 8.2/10 on IMDB.. Id give it 5 - 5.5 at best.
