I saw it and the premise looked quite interesting but maybe it's one for the sales.

Sounds a bit like 'Journey to a savage planet' I bought it on a whim, played it for a bit and it started off promising but I soon got bored of it.

I found that - with Journey I mean. Not sure why either. it ticked many boxes for me.. but just lost interest real quick.
I should maybe try going back to it..
